A girl who could honestly not be much older than 12-14 made the comment of “eww” about my tongue. I really honestly mean the things I say. I honestly hope that kids and even adults learn to respect others even with their differences. Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t always mean its wrong. I never hurt anyone else and this is what I find beautiful. I find it so sad that something like splitting your tongue is “unacceptable” or “gross”, yet getting huge knockers(to the point where it is unhealthy), having leather skin(to the point of skin cancer), poisoning your body to be society’s standard of “thin”, and disrespecting yourself is “socially acceptable”.
Learn to respect yourself and respect others. Teach your children, your friends, or anyone that you see disrespecting themselves or others. Let them know that it’s not OK.
